May 16-20 EVALUATION WEEK

Dear Parents:

Evaluations will take place this week ans we will also continue with our theme The Ocean. Please refer to last week's post when reviewing with your child at home.
Theme: The Ocean

Concepts and skills: Review letters Tt-Zz, sorting and patterns. Over/under and more/less.

Vocabulary: sea horse, octopus, jellyfish, crab, whale, dolphin, turtle, fish, sun, sand, lobster, shark, starfish, seal, seashell. Review The Farm, Bugs and Wild Animals vocabularies.

Character Education: Patience. Our goal is:"I wait my turn in line."

Important information:

* Evaluations will take place this week, please review with your child 15-20 minutes on a daily basis at home.

* Sign and send Report Cards back to school if you have not done so.

Concepts and skills: Letters A-Z, numbers 0-12, bar graphs. Over/under and more/less.

Vocabulary: sea horse, octopus, jellyfish, crab, whale, dolphin, turtle, fish, sun, sand, lobster, shark, starfish, seal, seashell.

Character Education: Patience. Our goal is:"I wait my turn to speak, when I raise my hand."

Important information:

* This Friday is Colors Day, the cost is Lps.5.

* Sign and send Report Cards back to school if you have not done so.

* Evaluations will take place next week, the content to be evaluated is listed below. Please review with your child at home 10-15 minutes a day.

  • Your child should be able to name, recognize and produce sound for letters Tt-Zz.

April 11-15 EARTH WEEK

Dear Parents:                                                           

This week we will cover the following:

Theme: Easter

Concepts and skills: Letter Xx and patterns.

Character Education: Honesty Our goal is: "I respect other people's property."

Important Information:

* Please send Lps.100 inside a labeled envelope with your child's name on it, by this Thursday, April 14th. This money will be invested in the Mother's Day gift.

* Sign and return report cards if you have not done so.

* Progress Reports will go home this Wednesday, April 13th. Please sign and return on Thursday.

* This Thursday, April 14th, we will be celebrating Earth Day. We will have a free Colors Day, please have your child wear earth colors on this day (brown, green, blue). We will be learning about how to take care of the Earth and we would like to ask for your cooperation in packing  "TRASH FREE" snacks in your child's lunchboxes on this day. This means avoid packing anything with wrappings, juice boxes, paper napkins, etc but do use reusable containers please.

* This Friday we will celebrate Easter and it is also a free Colors Day.

* Easter Break: April 18th- April 25th, classes will resume on Tuesday April 26th. Have a safe Easter Holiday.

Dear Parents:

* Several engaging activities have been planned this week to expose children to books and reading. We will be having guest readers, reading buddies from other grades, we will be working on writing a class book and many other fun activities.

Character Education: Discipline. Our goal is: "I follow the classroom rules."

Important information:

* This Friday, March 25th is Parent-Teacher conference, please stop by your child's classroom and sign up for the conference. Pre-school students are not coming to school on this day. Sign up sheets will be posted on Tues. March 22nd.


* On Saturday March 26th from 8:30 PM - 9:30 PM everybody around the world will be voluntarily turning off the lights and unplugging electronic devices to SAVE THE EARTH. We invite you to do the same


* Book Week will be celebrated next week, March 28th-April1st. Different activities will take place. We are cordially inviting parents to join the children at the Library to come read a story to your child. Please go straight to the library. Please check the schedule below for information regarding day and time.

Dear Parents:                                             
This week we will be reviewing for our third quarter evaluation. Evaluations will take place next week. Please review with your child at home for 15-20 minutes a day. The content to be evaluated is listed below:
