Dear Parents:

Report cards will go home today. Tomorrow is the last day of school and it is also a free Colors Day. Once again thank you for all your hard work and cooperation. We hope you have a great summer!!!

We made it!!!!! As the school year comes to an end we would like to thank you for all your hard work, support and cooperation.

It has been a pleasure to work with such a special group of students. We wish you the best next school year and we hope you have a great summer.

Please keep in mind the following information

* If you have overdue books from the Library please return them by Wednesday.

* Report Cards will go home on Monday, May 30th.

* Tuesday, May 31st is the last day of school and it is also a free Colors Day.

May 16-20 EVALUATION WEEK

Dear Parents:

Evaluations will take place this week ans we will also continue with our theme The Ocean. Please refer to last week's post when reviewing with your child at home.
Theme: The Ocean

Concepts and skills: Review letters Tt-Zz, sorting and patterns. Over/under and more/less.

Vocabulary: sea horse, octopus, jellyfish, crab, whale, dolphin, turtle, fish, sun, sand, lobster, shark, starfish, seal, seashell. Review The Farm, Bugs and Wild Animals vocabularies.

Character Education: Patience. Our goal is:"I wait my turn in line."

Important information:

* Evaluations will take place this week, please review with your child 15-20 minutes on a daily basis at home.

* Sign and send Report Cards back to school if you have not done so.

May 9-13

Dear Parents:

This week we will cover the following:
Theme: The Ocean

Concepts and skills: Letters A-Z, numbers 0-12, bar graphs. Over/under and more/less.

Vocabulary: sea horse, octopus, jellyfish, crab, whale, dolphin, turtle, fish, sun, sand, lobster, shark, starfish, seal, seashell.

Character Education: Patience. Our goal is:"I wait my turn to speak, when I raise my hand."

Important information:

* This Friday is Colors Day, the cost is Lps.5.

* Sign and send Report Cards back to school if you have not done so.

* Evaluations will take place next week, the content to be evaluated is listed below. Please review with your child at home 10-15 minutes a day.


* Reading Readiness:
  • Your child should be able to name and recognize all colors and shapes.
  • Your child should be able to name, recognize and produce sound for letters Tt-Zz.
*Language Development:


Your child should be able to name the vocabulary for the following themes:
  • Bugs
  • The Farm
  • Wild Animals
  • The Ocean
* Math Readiness:


Your child should be able to name, recognize, sequence and make sets for numbers 0-12.


Your child should be able to sort objects by color or shape and to complete an AB pattern.


* Writing Readiness


Your child should be able to write his/her first name.
